American Le Mans Series 2009
σε λιγο ξεκιναει ενας σημαντικος αγωνας.
ειναι οι 12 ωρες του σεμπρινγκ που μετραει στο πρωταθλημα American Le Mans Series (ALMS). o φετινος αγωνας παρουσιαζει ιδιαιτερο ενδιαφερον για δυο λογους. ειναι πρωτη εμφανιση του νεου audi R15 tdi στην κατηγορια P1, καθως και επανεμφανιση της bmw στο θεσμο με τη νεα Μ3 GT2 στην κατηγορια GT2. στα δοκιμαστικα η μαχη πεζω- αουντι ηταν αμφιροπη, με τα R15 παντως να δειχνουν λιγο ταχυτερα. η πολ-ποζισιον ομως πηγε αναπαντεχα στο επισης πρωτοεμφανιζομενο βενζινοκινητο Acura ARX 02a. στην κατηγορια GT2 η πρωτη Μ3 ηταν στην 7η θεση πισω απο τις πισω απο τις πορσε τις φεραρι, μια φορντ και μια panoz (!). η δευτερη Μ3 δεν πηρε χρονο και ετσι θα ξεκινησει τελευταια. περισσοτερες πληροφοριες στο: http://www.americanlemans.com/index.php επισης οσοι εχουν νοβα μπορουν να παρακολουθησουν ζωντανα τον αγωνα στο motors tv, αυτη τη στιγμη...!

12:02 PM: The field is under full course caution for the first time of the race due to a two-car incident in Turn 17 involving the No. 9 Patron Highcroft Racing Acuraof David Brabham and Andrea Robertson's Doran Ford GT-R. Brabham appeared to spin on his own, and Robertson was collected in the incident. Both cars escaped major damage.
12:05 PM: The No. 07 Peugeot of Nicolas Minassian assumes the overall lead when both Audis pit, as well as the No. 08 Peugeot. All three take on tires, fuel and driver changes. Dindo Capello (No. 2 Audi) beats Stephane Sarrazin (No. 08 Peugeot) out of the pits, with Marco Werner (No. 1 Audi) in third. Minassian stayed because his car pitted under green, just before the caution. 12:20 PM: The GT2-leading No. 87 Farnbacher Loles Porsche of Wolf Henzler makes an unscheduled pit stop. The team reports that the car has suffered a broken axle as it now undergoes repairs. Moments later, Werner in the third-placed No. 1 Audi spins, but continues undamaged. 12:30 PM: With two hours now in the books, Minassian (No. 07 Peugeot) holds a six-second lead over Capello (No. 2 Audi), with Sarrazin (No. 08 Peugeot) one further second back in third. Luis Diaz paces LMP2 with a lap margin over the second-placed No. 20 Dyson Racing Lola Mazda. Antonio Garcia leads GT1, and after starting dead last, Jamie Melo now is in control of the GT2 category. 12:40 PM: Sarrazin begins to put pressure on Capello for second. The two diesel-powered rivals dice their way through traffic and are both gradually losing ground to the leading Peugeot. Meanwhile, the Intersport Racing Lola has been stationary in the pits with reports of smoke coming from the AER-powered prototype. It's confirmed by Clint Field that the car has a broken oil line. 12:46 PM: It’s now a Peugeot 1-2 as Sarrazin muscles his way around Capello on the front straight to take second on lap 71. 12:50 PM: In the GT2 ranks, Melo continues to lead the way, but Tommy Milner in the brand-new BMW Rahal Letterman Racing M3 has moved up to second, passing Mattihas Russo, who recently took over controls of the No. 95 Advanced Engineering Pecom Ferrari F430 GT. 12:55 PM: Things have gone from bad to worse for the No. 87 Farnbacher Loles Porsche, as the team pushes the car to the paddock for further repairs. The two leading 911 GT3 RSRs now appear to be out of contention for the GT2 victory. 12:56 PM: Werner pits from fourth position, once again only single stinting his Michelin tires. One lap later, Minassian brings his leading Peugeot in for service and takes fuel-only. Peugeot has proven to have the early advantage just for being able to double stint its tires. 12:59 PM: Sarrazin pits the No. 08 Peugeot for fuel-only as well, putting the Capello back into the lead, who has yet to make his scheduled stop. Just as we say that, the Italian racer pits for fuel and tires. 1:05 PM: The No. 90 BMW Rahal Letterman Racing BMW M3 is the first official retirement of the race with mechanical failure. Remember the car failed to leave the grid and spent the first 45 minutes in the paddock undergoing repairs. 1:08 PM: Simon Pagenaud (No. 66 de Ferran Motorpsorts Acura) serves a stop-go penalty for re-firing his engine before refueling was complete. 1:20 PM: With the race nearing the three-hour mark, Peuegot appears to be in control of the race, with Minassian and Sarrazin holding a 30-plus second lead over the two new Audi R15 TDIs. The two Acura ARX-02as are further back in fifth and sixth, but still remain in contention. 1:25 PM: An interesting tidbit of information: As of two hours, the No. 2 Audi leads the way in the Michelin Green X Challenge in prototypes, and in GT, it's the LG Motorsports Riley Corvette C6. 1:26 PM: Jon Field in the Intersport Racing Lola grounds to a halt on the track and brings out the second full-course caution of the race. 1:30 PM: It's pit stop time for all of the leaders. Both Peugeots take on tires, fuel and a change of drivers. But there's drama over in the Audi camp, as the front and rear bodywork come off the R15 TDIs. The No. 1 car reportedly had a problem with its air jack, while the Audi Sport Team Joest crew cleaned off the No. 2 car's brake ducts. Both cars rejoin in fifth and sixth, behind the now third placed de Ferran Motorsports Acura of Pagenaud. 1:40 PM: We're back to green, as Christian Klien (No. 07 Peugeot) leads the field away, ahead of Sebastien Bourdais (No. 08 Peugeot) and Pagenaud. Tom Kristensen is now in the No. 2 Audi, while Lucas Luhr is aboard the sister No. 1 machine. 1:43 PM: Meanwhile, Jon Field continues to work on his Intersport Racing Lola as it sits stationary in a run-off area. Field cannot receive outside assistance as per ACO rules. He is reported to have a fuel pick-up problem. 1:45 PM: After a few laps under green, the Audis begin to pick up its pace. Both Kristensen and Luhr charge through traffic and pass Pagenaud and set their sights on the two leading Peugeots. 1:52 PM: The LG Motorsports Riley Corvette of Lou Gigliotti slows on track after enjoying a seventh place run in class. Meanwhile, the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari, now in the hands of Pierre Kaffer, continues pace the GT2 category. 1:58 PM: It appears Field has called it a day, as his Intersport Racing crew help push his Lola AER back to the paddock. 2:00 PM: motors tv live coverage is back on the air! 2:04 PM: The Lowe's Fernandez Racing Acura of Adrian Fernandez enjoys a four-lap lead over the two Dyson Racing Lola Mazdas in second and third in the LMP2 class. In GT1, Jan Magnussen is currently ahead of Corvette Racing teammate Oliver Gavin.

τελικα μετα απο μεγαλη μαχη το αουντι R15 εφυγε με τη νικη στο ντεμπουτο του!

Έχει θέματα το Ε92 τελικά ... κάτι μου λέει ότι το "χαμό" του προηγούμενου GTR που ήταν συνεχώς 1-2 δε θα τον ξαναδούμε ...

δεν εγινε ακριβως ετσι. ο οδηγος της πορσε επιχειρησε ενα καπως παρακινδυνευμενο προσπερασμα στο φορντ. μολις περασε κατα τα 3/4 (και στη φαση της επιταχυνσης) αρχισε να ανοιγει την τροχια του προς τα εξω (εκει που βρισκοταν το φορντ που το ειχε περασει στα φρενα απο εσωτερικη). τοτε το φορντ ακουμπησε το πορσε στο πισω αριστερο φτερο στελνοντας το στον τοιχο. οι ζημιες ηταν περισσοτερες μπροστα απο την επαφη με το τσιμεντο παρα πισω. τυπικο αγωνιστικο συμβαν. σιγουρα τα 911 ηταν ταχυτατα ολο το τριημερο και μαλιστα σε καποιες σειρες δοκιμαστικων ηταν και μπροστα. στους αγωνες αντοχης ομως μετρανε και αλλα πραγματα εκτος απο την ταχυτητα, οπως ψυχραιμια, υπομονη, σωστη στρατηγικη, τυχη και ισως περισσοτερο καποιες φορες. και η Μ3 ηταν δευτερη πριν εγκαταλειψει, τι να πουμε οτι γ@μαει και δερνει? ολα κρινονται εκ του αποτελεσματος. και συμφωνα με αυτο τα πορσε θελουν να ξεχασουν γρηγορα αυτον τον αγωνα. αφου εχεις φιλους στην ομαδα, δεν κανονιζεις να παμε να δουμε Vip εναν ευρωπαϊκο αγωνα (λεμαν τον ιουνιο), με εκδρομη οδικως? εγω ειμαι fan των αγωνων αντοχης (και του τσουφενχαουζεν φυσικα...) και μια μεγαλυτερη φωτο:
